You pay for the insurance and the government fees. Our work is free.
The contract, the permit application, the security bond and the reminders cost you nothing. You pay MSIG the ordinary premium and the government its usual fees, exactly as you would through any other route, and you will see every line of it before you pay. We are simply not charging you on top, because MSIG pays us a commission and we run the whole process through the app, which keeps our costs low enough to pass that on to you.
We represent MSIG, and only MSIG, so every policy here is an MSIG one, and we would rather tell you that plainly at the start than leave you to work it out later. There is no salesperson on a commission in the middle of it, so nothing gets pushed on you that you do not need.

Who is behind Pomelo?
Pomelo is run by a licensed MSIG agent based in Singapore. Everything happens in the app, from the first few questions through to the paperwork, the reminders and your payment, and that is how we keep the service quick and our costs low enough to give the renewal work away.
Why is everything MSIG, and how do you make money?
We represent MSIG, and only MSIG, so every policy here is an MSIG policy. When you take one out, MSIG pays us a commission, and that is the whole of how we earn. You pay the ordinary premium and the usual government fees, with no service fee, no advisory fee, and nothing added for the work we do around the policy.
Is the renewal service really free?
The work we do around your policy, the contract, the permit application, the bond and the reminders, genuinely costs you nothing. You still pay MSIG for the insurance and the government for its fees, exactly as you would through any other route, and you will see every line before you pay. We simply are not charging you on top, because the commission already covers our time.
Is it safe to hand over my helper's paperwork and the bond?
Your documents stay in Singapore, kept encrypted, and are used only to complete your renewal. We file with the Ministry of Manpower solely after you have authorised us to, the security bond stays in your name throughout, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond MSIG and the government agency that needs it. None of it is ever used for advertising or passed to a third party.
What if I have a question along the way?
You can reach us in the app at any point during the renewal, and a licensed agent is accountable for seeing it through. Because everything sits in one place, we can pick up exactly where you left off, without you having to explain your situation from the start.
What about car and travel insurance?
Helper renewals are live today. Motor will follow, with the LTA side handled alongside your MSIG cover, and travel will come after that, arranged in the app with a clear route to claiming if a trip goes wrong. Ask us to let you know when each is ready, and we will write to you once.
